Your Bridal Beauty Checklist

Here are some things to think about incorporating into your daily skincare and hair care routine starting around 1 month before your wedding, if not sooner.  These little tips will help ensure your skin and hair is glowing and looking it’s best for the big day!  Please do not start anything NEW, or try any new skincare products during the 30 day countdown!  Stick with products that you know and love.  If you don’t have any skincare products that you love, then please don’t hesitate to ask me for some recommendations!  Schedule a skin care consultation and you will leave knowing exactly what products are ideal for your skin type, and we can address any areas of concern as well.

1 Month Before

  • Increase your water intake!  I put this one at the very top and as the FIRST little tip for healthy, glowing skin and hair!  I can’t stress this one enough as your MUA!  It seems simple, yet it’s the one common mistake we all make when we are busy or overwhelmed.  So please, stay hydrated!
  • Begin a regular peel regimen.  This can be done at home with more gentle products, or under the care of an Esthetician or a Dermatologist.

*Monthly facials and weekly peels will help to fade fine lines, even and brighten skin tone, and help reduce the occurrence of breakouts.

  • Experiment with self-tanners

*If you want that natural bronzed look without spending time in a tanning bed, now is the time to start experimenting with self-tanners at home.

Be sure to consider the neckline of your gown and whether you have existing tan lines you’ll need to cover.

2 Weeks Before

  • Take care of your hair!
  • Schedule a Deep Conditioning Treatment and/or a hair gloss about 1-2 weeks before your big day.   This will ensure your hair is beautiful and shiny the day of your wedding.
  • Schedule your final haircut or trim appointment.

*This isn’t NOT the time to start experimenting new hair styles, by now or if not very soon, we should have already had your Bridal Hair Trial appointment.   Your hair should not be any different from when we had your trial for obvious reasons.

  • Exfoliate and moisturize your skin.

*Exfoliation will make your skin feel soft, smooth and revitalized.

*Use a gentle exfoliator everyday in the shower, focusing on problem areas like elbows, knees and feet.

Follow with a hydrating body lotion or a body oil

for extra smooth skin.

  • Eye cream

*A nightly application of eye cream will improve the appearance of dark circles and fine lines.  Eye arise by Limelife is abpersonal favorite!  Don’t hesitate to ask which products would be best for your skin and tell me your budget so we can find the perfect fit!

1 Week Before

  • Go for your final facial

*If you normally do extractions, it would be best to skip them this time.

*Extractions can irritate the skin, which is not something you want a week before your big day.

  • Get a bikini wax and final eyebrow shaping
  • This would also be the time to shave or wax your legs in preparation for the garter toss!

1 to 2 Days Before

  • Apply your final self-tanning application ( or spray tan)
  • Two days before the wedding, get your bridal spray tan (either at home or at a salon).
  • This would be the time to exfoliate your face, using a natural and gentle product.
  • Get a professional manicure and pedicure!  Do this with your bridal party!

*Remember this is supposed to be fun, and I know that weddings become extremely stressful for a lot of brides so it’s important to schedule time to relax and have fun.  A mani and pedi appointment is never a bad idea!

*Make sure you choose a very neutral color, I prefer French tips, or a color that goes well with your wedding colors.

Your WEDDING DAY

  • STAY HYDRATED
  • EAT BREAKFAST
  • Moisturize

*Don’t focus only on your face, moisturize everywhere - hands, feet, body and face - hydrating your skin will make it glow.

  • Get your hair and makeup done and RELAX.

*Make sure you wear a robe or button down shirt so that it can be easily removed once your makeup is done and it’s time to put on your dress.!

*You’ll want to be both hydrated and have something in your stomach. This isn’t the day to operate on an empty stomach!

Your wedding is a day you’ll want to look back on with happiness and no regrets. Make sure you take time to take it all in and enjoy it every step of the way. With the right natural beauty products and this checklist, you can rest assured you’ll be covered beautifully from head to toe!

I hope this helps!

Much Love!
